Gift and Craft’s story

How the Gift and Craft concept is born…

Gift and Craft is a well-balanced blend of strong purchasing experience and true sensitivity to the product well-done.

I started my career as a buyer 7 years ago in London, after having discovered this profession during an internship to validate my Master 2. This first position as an Assistant Buyer, within a promotional gift agency in the film industry, allowed me to acquire the basis for purchasing and sourcing, mainly made in China. It is from this first experience rich in meetings and evolutions, that I had the opportunity to occupy a position with more responsibilities in a second agency of personalized products. 

After a year of good and loyal services, I flew to one of the sunniest capitals in Europe, Lisbon. 
I started my new “Lisboète” life by actively participating in the creation and opening of a wine bar, mixing gastronomy, local and international wines. It is thanks to the referencing of the suppliers for the supply of the wine bar that I discovered this beautiful country that is Portugal. Rich in culture and traditions, well defined in every region where I went, from the Douro to the Alentejo, passing through the Dão and the Bairrada. 

Realizing that my professional development was not satisfied enough, I decided to return to my first job, which is purchasing. The discovery of the artisanal ressources present in all the regions of Portugal, this know-how for the production of high-quality products, attracted me. Once again, I wanted to become involved in a company whose main objective was to do a good job. 
After having integrated, for a year, a company of personalized gifts for the hospitality sector, I decided to start and create my own company of customized products. 

Gift and Craft was born…

In order to offer interesting products, the company’s project is to source mainly from craftsmen and family industries in Portugal for high-quality objects, while respecting the environment. 
We work with suppliers in various industries such as textile, leather goods, wellness, ceramics, cork, recycled paper and many more. My wish is to offer promotional «Corporate Gifts», with quality but also to highlight the incredible work of the artisans with whom we collaborate in Europe, and more specifically in Portugal. We work with passion to best meet our customers’ requirements, in the greatest transparency. 

Beyond the personalized product, Gift and Craft also accompanies its customers who wish to start producing all or part of their collections in Portugal. 
We offer them a personalized service as close as possible to their needs.

The health crisis we have just passed and the economic crisis that seems to be happening, make us realize the importance of returning to values that make sense. Short supply chains, quality materials and environmentally responsible production practices.
The «Made in Europe» makes sense, and Gift and Craft follows this logic by offering reasoned productions by minimizing its carbon footprint as much as possible and by working with factories located in Europe.
